Hosted by Manuela Siegfried, certified forest bathing guide, breathwork and sound healing facilitator, with 25 years of retreat experience alongside Coach D.
Most women who come on retreat with us aren't in crisis. They've built real lives. They're also quietly aware that something in them has gone a little muted. If any of this lands, keep reading.
Career handled. People cared for. Somewhere along the way the volume on your own aliveness got turned down. You can feel it.
At work. At home. On the phone with your mother. You notice after. And you're tired of noticing after.
You don't need someone fixing you. You don't want a detox bootcamp. You want space to breathe, with women who don't need you to perform anything.
The tight shoulders. The late-night scroll. The sighs that land louder than your words. The parts of you that are quietly waiting. You already know what they're asking.
You have the career, or the family, or the freedom, or all three. You also have a quiet question about what the next season looks like, and you haven't given it the time.
Women who get it. Without forced circle-time, without someone telling you to name your inner child.
And some of it worked, for a minute. Here's why most of it doesn't stick.
Useful language. Still your kitchen, your phone, your same Wednesday.
Lovely massage. You were checking work email by Sunday afternoon.
Instagram-beautiful. Also lonely, and strangely full of admin.
Sun salutations at dawn. Zero pizzica, zero pasta, zero pulse.
A week in Puglia, away from your routines, with women who aren't asking anything of you, is long enough to change what you permit yourself to feel, say, want, and do when you go home.
That's what Wild, Rooted & Free is built for. Not a reset you lose after two weeks. A lifetime of permission to live in a way that actually feels like you.
It's day four. You're in Otranto, the easternmost point of Italy.
The Adriatic is a color you didn't know water came in. You've stopped checking your phone. Your skin tastes like salt and olive oil and the panino you shared with a woman from Seattle you'd somehow never met before this week.
Tonight there's pizzica under the stars. Tomorrow, sound healing at the masseria. You're not thinking about your inbox.
You're here.
"This retreat is an invitation to let the land do some of the work. The ancient olive trees, the Ionian light, the slowness. My job is to walk beside you while you remember what you already know."

Forest bathing, breathwork, sound healing
Born and raised in Costa Rica, Manuela has spent her life in the company of trees, ocean, and the kind of silence that teaches you things. She's a certified forest bathing guide, breathwork facilitator, and sound healing practitioner who has led retreats for years across Costa Rica and now Puglia, where she followed a quiet pull in midlife and moved near the Salento coast. Manuela doesn't push or prescribe. She sets up the field, the trees, the music, the space, and lets you find the answer that was already yours.
Women's wellness coaching, movement, mindset
Derith, better known as Coach D., is the founder of FIERCE by Choice and has spent 25 years coaching women into strength, self-trust, and honest decisions about the next season of their lives. She brings movement, humor, and the kind of direct truth-telling that lands gently. If Manuela is the rooting, Coach D. is the spark. Together they make a week that feels both tender and alive.
"I grew, I pushed myself outside my comfort zone, and I made friends along the way. There was so much self-reflection and self-care, things I hadn't made time for in years. I came back a changed person with a new tribe that supports me no matter what."
Alissa S.
"It nurtured my mind, body, and soul. I've come to realize how important it is to take time for myself and embrace opportunities for fun and personal growth. Since my first retreat, I've been back for four more."
Annie R.
"Manuela has a rare gift. She doesn't tell you what to do, she guides you back to your own intuition. Her support is unwavering, and her ability to help you sink into yourself and reconnect with nature is remarkable."
Jen Burrow · California
"Manuela's retreats have helped me be comfortable in my own joy, heart, body. I've found a presence and a simplicity I hadn't found before. The activities are creative and fun, the venues beautiful, the food delicious."
Joan Roaney · New York
"Every experience invited a deeper presence. My spirit became more relaxed, expansive, and joyful. If you are open, you will be filled and lifted."
Amy B.
"I always come back home filled with joy and relaxed from the laughter and hiking and dancing and sharing. It warms my heart to have this time to really be with my softest self."
Veronika Knobova · Prague

Most of our guests come alone. Many live in the US. A number of them are in a life transition, a big decision, or a long-postponed pause.
No. Every movement session has options. If you can walk a couple of kilometers on uneven ground and climb into a car, you're fine.
If you've never tried breathwork or sound healing, this is a gentle first taste. If you have, you'll notice the difference a good facilitator makes.
Fly into Brindisi Airport (BDS). Group transfer to the masseria is included once your flight is confirmed. Most US travellers fly through Rome, Milan, Munich, or Istanbul.
On your call we can talk through the easiest route from where you live.
Yes, and most women do. You'll have a private room with ensuite. Before the retreat we introduce the group on a short video call if you'd like to know a couple of faces in advance.
Not at all. Gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, lactose-free, most allergies, all fine. Let us know what you need when you register and the chefs plan around it.
Full refund if you cancel before January 18, 2026. 50% refund if you cancel between January 19 and April 17, 2026. After April 18, 2026, no refund, but you can transfer your spot to another woman at no extra cost.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended and not included.
You meet one of us for 20 to 30 minutes. We ask a bit about what's bringing you to this, answer any questions about the week, pricing, logistics, and tell you honestly if we think it's the right fit.
No pressure, no sales script, no deposit taken on the call.
That's exactly what the call is for. A lot of women book it unsure and decide not to come. A lot book it unsure and realise it's the week they've been putting off for three years.
Either outcome is a good one.
We cover pricing and payment options on the call, including pay in full, two-pay, three-pay, and deposit reservations. This way we can also let you know about any early-bird or late-availability adjustments.
